    anyone ever use one these. i was looking to get one preferably not electronic. just wondering if anyone can reommend anything or where i might pick one up in ireland.

    I have a lockvogel myself, good caller. I have no problems with it except maybe the volume range/limit. Some lads also find the U-caller good. Everyone for themselves I guess.

    I bought a cheap 5euro whistle off a uk website that i can't actually remember at the mo.
    I found that it would get the fox to stop but i have never managed to get them to investigate the call, they'd just listen for a few seconds and lose intrest fairly quickly, you might be able to pull off a quick shot but i wouldn't, and have no shame in sayin so.
    For the record i'm shooting a .22lr so i wouldn't take the shot unless the fox was head on and out to 70yards max
    Its one of those Acme ones but there dove calls and crow calls seem grand so i could be using it wrong, but that my experience with that type.

    I jave tried the following and found they worked well, I have graded same on a scale of 0-3

    Stadard widgeon whistle 3
    Wam 4
    Foxcall 4
    U caller 3
