To Freeze or Not to Freezer....

    That is the Question.

Like all sane people I always store my Vodka in the freezer as it's make it much nicer.

But since drinking Jagr at Festaviles and pubs around Europe severed via their frozen tap system I thinking about freezing it myself but don't want to ruin it.

So how do you store your Jagr?

Wait a second. Are you saying that you intend on throwing some sort of AH house party?

    newsflash ...

    You cannot ruin Jägermeister.

It's a godawful concoction that only used to be drunk by oulfellas in Lederhosen after a particularly fatty feed of Schweinebraten...

    ...for a reason :D

Consider yourself a victim of moarkeshing ...stick to vodka

Jaeger is a dangerous substance. Though I must get around to trying a bomb someday? Why wait? Well I saw the after effects in people before I saw the actual drink. Scarred. And they stained my good left shoe.

Its only as dangerous as the person that drinks it, I love the stuff, anyone in my family is away...they bring me a bottle of it back! Have 3 at the min. Puttin it in the freezer is grand, it wont freeze at all...it'll just get nicer!

    Yummy!!!!

Your home freezer is incapable of "ruining" your jaegermeister...they manage that all by themselves at the distillery when they put it in the bottle.

So it'd be non ruined if they put it in something else?! A bucket perhaps?

    Mmmmm a bucket of Jaiger!

Nah it'd still taste like crap....but it'd last longer, and the bucket might come in useful later.

So three hours in the quick freeze section of the freezer and it's all good.

Mmmmm Ice-Cold Jagr and cream Soda FTW.....

    Did you mean cream soda?

If so, ewwww... cream soda is disgusting and for some reason gives me headaches.

Do you mean for drinking as shots? Jager (however ya spell it) is mank on its own tbh - needs Red Bull

And if mixing with Red Bull, i'd have thought it'd the Red Bull that'd be more important since it's the majority of the liquid?

But yeah, overall the colder everything is the better... stick both in the Freezer tbh. When i'm heading out, I arrive home with my offie, chuck it in the freezer while I have a shower/get changed - nice and chilled by the time I get downstairs again (taking that a shower etc. takes me about 10 mins it doesn't get much of a chance to cool but better than nothing)

Yep, I buy a bottle when I go away and it stays in the freezer the whole time. I had Vanilla Vodka once and strangely it did freeze

The less it freezes that better quality it is.

Smirnoff sucks huge ice blocks but Absolut is great stays in a gel type substance.

But I've had regular Smirnoff in the freezer before and it never froze, the off licence up the road from me sells all their vodka from the freezer. They have a few fance ones I never saw anywhere else too, like cranberry Finlandia!

*EDIT just re read your post, I thought you ment the taste quality is better when its not in ice blocks!!! I get what ya mean now. I've heard that in the States Smirnoff is the cheap stuff and Absolut is their Vodka of choice?! I think Finlanda is the nicest...but I wanna try that fancy Gray Goose stuff

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,813 ✭✭✭BaconZombie

Finlandia is nice as well but I think Danzka is nicer and for all the people smuggling drink into the pub it comes in a solid "metal" bottle.

But a warning, if you do put it in the freezer the bottle maybe give you freezer-burn.
