I have a JVC Everio that I got from a friend, with charger and all necessary accessories except for a CD. This means that whatever I record can not be transferred to my computer except for in huge files. And these files cannot be edited properly, just viewed. The CD would let me convert, compress, edit, etc... I have tried…

I have tried the JVC website to get the software to no avail, and I really want to be able to use the camera. Without the software there's no real point in my having the camera, and it would be very useful...

Can anyone help me out?
