I had been using Zeal, which was absolutely brilliant, but it's been out of stock for over a year now with no sign of ever returning. I want something based on natural ingredients, and that will not dry out my already-dry hair. Something that really works though, I've tried head and shoulders and the dead sea one but they did not get rid of the problem.

    Maybe talk to a pharmacist.

The only ones that springs to mind is Capasal (sp?)

Body shop's ginger shampoo is good, smells nice, not overwhelming.

Coal tar shampoo is pretty much made up of entirely natural ingredients and is very good for dandruff. Polytar is one of the brand names for it, but there are two or three different types and strengths depending on how bad the scalp is. It smells awful going on, but doesn't smell bad afterwards really.

Lush do a solid shampoo similar to the Polytar. Works well and saves on packaging cos it's a shampoo bar:

There are so many of them and for me, none of them work at all. I have eventually had to get prescription to try and sort mine out. It's always wise to get more than one opinions and do some shopping research before trying out something. There are many natural treatments to help alleviate dandruff. It would be a good idea to further explore natural dandruff remedies before you begin using them.

This place sells it online. Delivery isn't exactly cheap but if it's the only product that works for ya, it might be useful

If you have short hair you could use Snake Oil from Lush at night time. My OH uses it all the time and it really helps esp since he usually stays awake scratching all night. It's too greasy for long hair.

+1 on the suggestion for Lush's snake oil. They also have a number of shampoos good for dandruff - soak n float and squeaky green get my vote for getting rid of dandruff.

My hair actually got too used to head and shoulders and made my hair oily straight after I washed it!! Went to doctor and she explained the prob. Then she recommended the green timotei and I havent looked back ever since!
