    It's cos they aren't paying up -bar one petrol company, trek and nike. The talk is that there'll be a new team by the end of the giro, but for now they've faded the sponsors who haven't paid their way

    ah i know that but was trying to be funny :rolleyes: - thanks anyway - it says it all in the story related to the link

    what i am wondering is if Astana are getting ahead of themselves by deciding to alter UCI approved jersies - aren't there UCI regulations for teams that mess around with rider's financial matters etc

    Well the UCI is well aware of the situation and is threatening the Kazakh Federation with stripping them of the Astana licence if they don't secure sponsorship money to pay wages etc. Secondly, they have regularly approved mid-seans kit changes. Columbia/High Road had three different kits last year, for example.

    i was just wondering cause you can still vaguely see the sponsors names- which is a bit bizarre - i wonder did bruneyl, armstrong or uci decide how faded the names should be?

    Maybe its like film or show i barely recall ah ya it was back to the future - remember MJ Fox n all disappeared as it got closer to the time - maybe its like that with the non paying sponsors - maybe if they drop a few bob to them by the morning they may wear the jersies with the slightly darker shaded sponsorship!?!? :D
