What's your take? This is the second thread you have started where you haven't expressed your opinion. An ellipsis doesn't count.

When I express my opinion, usually moderators go over the top and ban me. People on this site are far too thin skinned. And I wouldnt say that I, in general, breach forum charters.

There was a thread in another forum. What do you like about DCU and well, I expressing my opinion, said there was nothing i liked about the place

I continued then to receive a bunch of insults. And when I replied to these, my posts where deleted. While the original insults by others were left posted on the thread. Unbelievable!

Now when I post a question for debate I get harangued again!

Just for the record: There's some hypocrisy (I am not claiming that I am free from making hypocritical statements. We're all human) in statements from a man who was in the Hitler Youth.

I hear Palestine is nice at this tiime of year. I hope he had a fun time and didn't get sunburnt.

Being German he probably hogged all the sunbeds by putting his towels on them to keep the Brits off.

On a more serious note now that I've finished trolling in my own forum, if Israel and Palestine both invited him to visit then I'm very glad he accepted their invitations. There needs to be greater cooperation and understanding between Jews, Catholics and Muslims.

I'd be interested to know his stance on the genocide that is being carried out towards the palestinians and how countries in the west, particularly the states, turn a blind eye and still support isreal. Anyone who tries to voice oppostition on the political front usually loses their job pretty fast and gets branded an anti-semite(even though palestinians are semites, go figure).

I guess his visit is more a publicity/media thing though.

The Pope, while he may represent the Vatican, does not represent the United States and so I doubt if he will comment on whether US politicos lose their jobs like that or not.

Posters are free to discuss issues relating to Christianity & Israel in this thread - but if you want to discuss the Israel/Palestine situation in general then I suggest the Politics forum or History & Heritage.

I'm afraid it will just add to the confusion in the minds of most regarding the true nature of Christianity. The Crusades and the Inquisition are identified with Christianity, not the New Testament church.

There are true Christian churches in Israel and Palestine - but very small and persecuted. The good news is that they are growing - at least the ones in Israel - the Arab ones are being hounded out of the land by militant Islamists. It has been good to see how Jewish and Arab believers have supported one another over the years of the conflict.

No, I'm not haranguing you. I simply pointed out that this is the second time you have offered only three dots after you start a thread. Doing this is unacceptable and if you think my softly spoken warning constitutes haranguing then I suggest that it is you who has the thin skin. Furthermore, this forum isn't the place to air your grievances about your unfortunate experiences in other fora.

I read some accounts of Jews complaiing that he didn't mention hitler, nazi and german or something. Did they have a checklist of things that he had to mention or soemthing?
