    Howdee,

I got in touch with Ishibashi there looking for a mustang bridge and a tort pickguard. I was quoted 5,500 yen for the bridge, which is fair enough, seems about right, but 12,000 yen for the pickguard. That sounds like an awful amount of money to be paying for a pickguard....??

There must be some mistake there alright. No way its €100 for a pickguard unless they think you want some stock pickups installed with it? Only thing I can think of. Check ebay for a price comparison

Seem to vary online. lots of American reissue pickguards for around $50. you can get some plain ones for $25 but again, they seem to be for American reissues...

hmmm...6,000yen for a black one, or 8,000 for an allparts tort one,

    12,000yen is roughly €95..

suppose i'll have to plump for one of them....

Would this be the correct bridge replacement for a CIJ Jazzmaster? Just double checking before I order....

Does your guitar have no bridge at the moment?

it does have the bridge that came with it. The guy I bought it off put some type of plastic saddles on it. It sounds grand, some slight buzzing, but a setup should fix that. I would have thought that strings on plastic wouldn't be good in the long run (in theory....)

Maybe I should just get some saddles...
