I'm looking for ideas on a nice upstyle for a hot date... he's said he'd love to see my hair up cos I've such long thick hair it tends to hide my face..

I've long thick wavyish hair, with a side fringe and lots of layers...

I don't want it to be too severe, ideally a half up half down style with soft curls... any ideas or pics?

Take a V section of hair from upper temple back. Gently backcomb then clip the section, pull out the fringey bits if you have them. Then curl the rest. Google image search for 'half up half down' has some good photos of celebs like this
