Need to get an urgent passport as I just realized my passport is up in August and I am going to the US next Friday and under their 90 day rule I will be out of date by 4 stupid days.
Anyway my question is what are the queue's at the office like, can I turn up at opening time or do I need to camp out over night
    Cheers for the help

Turn up, but expect a wait.

90 day rule only applies to those travelling who cannot avail of the visa waiver program. Most Irish passport holders can avail of it and you can travel up until your passport expires.

Go in on the earlist bus in, and bring proof of booking (ticket, etc), and at least €50.

I applied for a passport to the Cork office. I now realize that it will take up to six weeks to process and I need the passport in three weeks time. I know now I should have used the express option.
Is there any way to speed up the application or can they upgrade the application to express ( I have the application tracking number.)
