hand guns banned??

    surprised to find no existing treads about this but i heard on the radio today 14th of may, that the government is introducing law that will among other things "effectively band hand guns and put stricter controls on those already legally held"

    heard it while they were talking about outlawing samari swords and the penalty for carrying knives in public being raised from one year to five (which im not bothered about)

    but to kill the sport would be such a shame. i would love to see the statistics thats show how many "legally owned guns" are used in the so called gang land killings....
    on the lawless ireland program i believe it was the Garda who stated themselves that the illegal guns were being smuggled in with drugs.

    can anyone shed light on this
