    Hi,

A friend of mine is starting a business hiring out bouncy castles etc. for chidrens' parties. The public liability insurance quotes are through the roof.

Can anyone recommend a good broker for this sort of insurance.

    Thanks.

Might be a cost effective solution to try and get insurance by the day if it's a new business. No big money deposits and if the business isn't busy for the first while they will probably save a load of money by only covering a few days, then if it picks up it you could work out when it becomes more cost effective to get permanent cover.

www.odon.com do daily insurance for events and clubs, I used them for a strongman competition i ran in the rds and I think it was under 200 euro. A strongman competition would have a much higher risk than a kids party, they were flipping half tonne tyres, shoulder pressing a 17 stone log and even lifting the back of my Hummer! I am amazed they all survived.

Not necessarily so as injuries to kids are threated more severally then injuries to adults. (slightly off the point).

There are a few schemes about for this type of risk, pm me if you want more.
