    Hi,

I am heading to Rome in a few weeks to pick up a car for a friend and driving it back to Dublin. I plan on taking a few extra days to come back to see a few things.

Anyone have any tips about places to stop or visit along the way? Or perhaps any good roads to travel on.

    Cheers

We drove from Florence - Cinque Terre - Turin - Lyon - Versailles - Roscoff last year.

I'd defo say Cinque Terre is a place to stop. I thought it was one of those places you have to see before you kick the bucket! Lyon is lovely too, like a mini Paris and some great food. Stick to the AutoRoute & AutoStrada and you should zip up in no time. I thought Turin was also really fantastic, would head back in a flash.

In France, Annecy is also a lovely spot - picture postcard perfect. One night here is enough to see it and have a good look around.

    Thanks olaola,

Cinque Terre looks brilliant. How do you get to the villages in Cinque Terre? from the videos i just watched it doesnt exactly look like you can drive to them.
