VW Golf Service in Cork Area

    alright guys, looking to get my golf serviced and looking for general advice so as not to get ripped off and get a good job done.
    Is it worth going to a main dealer or will a local guy do just as good a job for probably less money?
    Anyone any experiences they would like to share on getting a VW serviced in cork, good or bad(price paid, what you got done, not done, etc,)

    If its within the warrenty period id go to a main dealer, if not take it to an independant.

    Des Golden in Wilton is quite good.

    If its within warranty and you plan on selling in next couple of years try a main dealer for a price - there are some decent offers at the moment. Noel Deasy's on the Commons Road have VW service now. Aunt got hers done there lately and was very happy

    Blackwater Motors in Fermoy are doing good deals at the moment, and are open very early until late these days. Have a look at their website, it was giving prices for servicing certain models.

    thanks lads, great stuff, i have a 04 golf, bought it privately so no warrenty i'm afraid.
    Motor websites blocked here at work so have to wait till later to check out sites, :mad:

    I need to get some work down on my 09 vw passat. I like in East Cork.
    There seems to be a problem with the turbo. I will not go to Blackwater motors, I have a very bad experience with a car that I bought from them years ago.
    Anyone recommendations?

    Blackwater also have a servicing place in Victoria Cross. There's usually VW servicing deals advertised.

    Are Autowerks still going near Midleton? They had a good name.
