Hi. This is obviously highly important.

I have a jersey that I like, but I just dont think that it goes very well with black bib shorts, hence i am thinking of getting a pair of white bib shorts.

Can anyone recommend a pair of white bib shorts that do not turn see-thru when they get wet with rain/sweat etc.

Finding something that isn't see-thru is the key. I've white Assos ones that are quite good in that regard.

you could always dye your public hair white. Or is it the rear you are worried about?

Surely white shorts + wet roads + no mudguards = dodgy stains.

But they might work for the odd sunny day spin.

I asked about white Assos bibs in CSS a few weeks ago and they looked at me a bit funny and said they hadn't any in stock.

You would also need a very good tan to pull it off.

The whole point is to try and NOT make it public.

Best not to do that whilst wearing white shorts, might stain.

White shorts are really only for the summer. But the stains do come out with a bit of handwashing if you do get them.

I came across a club group in Spain recent decked out in white tights:eek:

 Yes a bargain alright! :D I have to say though, it is the ideal positioning of black vs white!

    Thanks folks.

@ Lumen:Tried CSS for Assos white ones - nope they dont have'em.
Also, would like full white, not that white and black thing that a few of ye have posted.
@Dirk: I can get a tan (have you heard of piz buin or sunbeds:D).
@ Tonto: Will try for Assos, I have been looking for a excuse to buy a pair tbh.

As for stains, I would only wear them on the 3 or 4 fine days we have every year - so not worried about road dirt.

I think they would go well with a particular jersey that I have and love (but not sure that it works so well with black shorts). It seems from checking various stockists, that white shorts are very popular or that very few retailers stock them - a fair few companies make them.

Orange fake tan stains on your white bib shorts? You're a sick man.

3 types of white Assos at Slane ranging from £189 to £99, cant ask for more than that.
