Showing subtitles on Samsung PS42C7HD

I have a Samsung PS42C7HD and would sometimes like to enable the subtitles feature when watching tv - when I press the 'subtitle' button on the remote a message pops onscreen saying 'not available' This occurs regardless of channel.. Any ideas?

Think that's only for the built in DTV - try teletext 888
