Renault Megane Coupe -Timing belt Q

    Had my timing belt kit done @ about 90k miles . Car was serviced again last week at 111 k and dealer says it needs to be done again, how can I tell if this is the case, should you not get 30k+ from them?

    Same dealer also told me it needed to be done shortly after it was done, so i'm not sure .

    Does the dealer know that it was done 2yrs and 21k miles ago? If so, i'd want to know why they (wrongly) advised you that it needed to bee done again.

    They serviced it after it was done and advised that water pump needed to be changed only 5k after it had been done.

    Again this year said the same, bit worried as they said "water pump or timing belt are loud and could snap" . on the service report .

    They were told it was done twice, just wasn't done by them, belt actually went before and had a lot of work done on the car back then.

    Was the water pump changed with the last TB?

    Yes it was. Well i paid for it ot be done.
    Think i'll go back to the people who did it last to check before i fork out any cash.

    I think you're right. It does smell a bit funny, but better safe than sorry.
