How many bbs are you using?

I was cleaning my gear yesterday and I was thinking:
Is it only me who is using so much BBs every skirmish or there is more of us trigger happy people?

BBs usage in my case is strictly related with kind of Mags I'm using.

When using mid-caps, I usually get away with 3000BBs no problem. But when using an S-Mag, it could be even 2000BBs per game.

idk, i only play milsim now and generally thats 600 per player. So id say 1200-1800.

lol, last time I did 2000 rounds I was playing support gunner and itgot me through a whole day.

*sigh* Reminds me of the early days of airsoft in Ireland when everyone was doing about a bottle a day.

I've also noticed, that the less players in the game, more BBs you are using.

I use my shotgun so 200-300bbs

I had a bag of 4000 in my pocket.
I only remember loading up a high cap fully twice with a topup once or twice too. Had plenty left in the bag after a full day's skirmish.

Being Honest the one Hi-Cap that was in my AEG done me
for the day, I did not actually need to change mags
as there was plenty of time between games or during a respawn to top up as required.

For a rifleman, I'd agree. For a sniper, far less. For FSG, 2000 sounds .... middle of the road. On an average day with FSG I might load twice (2 x 1500) and stil lhave about 5-750 rounds left over, maybe three times if it's a fairly active day and I'm actually being used like FSG for other players.

On the flip side, playing proper section/platoon support arms, as an FSG you can very much *eat* BBs whilst supporting an assault depending on terrain, cover, and what the rest of your section and/or platoon need.

All of the above is in relation to Woodland & OBUA environments. Indoor/CRW work is a different kettle of fish although really, I'd be expecting similar restraint on the trigger and actually going for aimed fire rather than spray and pray.

It really depends where you are playing, like if i am playing in Rathbeggan i would go threw 3000 (a bottle) and then if i am playing in Red Barn i would do threw less,maybe half a bottle to three quaters but then again i will give an example of if you were playing the LZ game in Red Barn and were attacking or even defending and you capture the base quickly or get over run quickly you oviously use less or if you were attacking or defending for ages you are bound to use mor BBS
Also i think that people who voted +6000 on the poll are the ones who are carrying SAWs

i never said crazy rabbit?i cant even tell who voted,but anyway the SAWs carry around 2400 i think and from the storys i have heard about the amount you can go through using a SAW

My BB usage varies wildly! some days its nicely under 3000, but the last time I played I used 10000+:eek: I think I hit more when I use less BBs, a more tactical approach you could say. But then somedays I just get stuck in cover fire mode...

Depends on the game style of the day.

Milsim - usually don't use more than the alloted 300.

Team outing - about 1000, I seem to attract alot of friendly fire if using hi-caps, duno why.....

Weekend warrior - about 2500 . . . Don't judge me....

very much site and player density dependant i find.

If i was at predator and was playing an all day rolling scenario with 30 or so odd people per team i'd happily go through 4000 or 5000 bbs as a general rifle man. yes i know its a lot but i tend to play a very solitary role without the support of more than 1 team mate at any time so i tend to have to provide my own covering fire before i advance. i actually use less as a support gunner due to less firing opportunity given the sites nature favouring mobile agressive gameplay.

if i was playing fingal/drogheda etc. i tend to use less than 2000 in a day due generally to lower player turn out - less need for covering fire and smaller sites meaning more closer range shots which tend to be more accurate.

I had few games (using my S-Mag) when I empty it twice. On the other day (last week) I went throught very little comparing to my usuall ammo usage.

I'm 100% sure, using less bbs when shooting PLA instead of Bio.

usualy about 60 at most when I'm using my sniper rifle, If I decide to take out an aeg I usualy just waste ammo for the crack so about 3,000

jeez i cant ever remember using 3000rds in a game. i mostly play as a rifleman with midcaps and would never really use more than about 1000. far less in most cases.
I tend not to shoot unless im going to hit someone though. i wouldn't be the type to just shoot around frivolously.,

I couln't agree more. So at the moment we have established that, smaller the mags, smaller the ammo usage.

But sometimes you need to put a suppresing fire on the enemy position:D

I carry about 9, 100round mid caps but that usually gets me through 3 or 4 games in Rathbeggan....and thats being trigger happy with a pretty strong kill count. the only reason i carry so many mags is so i dont have to reload the 1 or 2 i would use in a games just swap mags around in my vest and i'm good to go. however it also depends on the game and the site....in red barn i would use 1mid-cap if i'm lucky on a standard hunting game when in a siege game i would use 3 mags depending on my position

When i am useing my 416 with 10 mid caps all day i would fire about 1800.

With the aug, which i use as a point of fire aeg, eg pinning people down, about 2500. Mental range on it.

i've only played with hi-caps cos haven't bought mid-caps yet - but doesn't really matter - i'm trigger happy - i will shoot loads anyways !
