Smelly Feet - Heels

    Folks,

Have this embarrassing issue with my feet - my heels stink. I went to a chiropodist and he told me to rub methylayed spirits onto them to kill the smell.
The skin looks bumpy in that area. No other part of my feet smell and to be honest its bothering me.

Just wondering if anyone had any ideas what it could be or what I could do to get rid of it!

OK, going unregged for this one! I spent time in the tropics, got an awful fungal bacteria on my heels, horrible sickly smell off them.

Dude, piss on them. Everytime you go to the shower piss on your feet. I got the tip off an indigenous person from the part of the tropics I was in, it works. Use a separate towel to dry them and use powder, only wear cotton socks, buy a pair of crocs to wear in the house.

buy a pair of crocs to wear in the house.

Surely this is a case of the cure being worse than the disease.

OP, it seems that you may have some sort of fungal infection. You didn't say if you were actually following the suggestions given to you by the chiropodist though.

You should probably go to the doctor, or the chemist about this.

In the meantime, wear open shoes (sandals, flip-flops) as much as possible on your bare feet. When you need to wear socks make sure that they're cotton and don't wear any synthetic material shoes/socks. Make sure that your feet have room to breathe.

I did taekwon do for years, and am a fair expert in keeping my feet healthy :D

This sounds a little more severe than any issue I've ever had but I find the best method for odour prevention anwyay is Scholl Odour Control Shoe Spray administered straight to the foot. If you have a medical conditon though this will not help.

    Head to your doctor.

I had something similar and needed an antibacterial cream to clear it up. Once I started using the cream it started to go away. I haven't had it again since.
