Watching films via laptop on tv

    ...do i need just one connector, a VGA connector? this gets the sound and picture?

    also be interested to know how people get satellite channels coming in on their laptop??

    If you're laptop & TV have HDMI connections you can just run a HDMI cable between them, and you'll even get a Hi-Def picture if you have a HD video file on your hard disk.

    A VGA to VGA connection would work too but without the HD option.

    To get it either working you'll have to change settings in either the ATI or Nvidia control panel

    Not sure about the sattelite channels.
