    Has anyone ever read any books about darts?

    I see John Lowe has a new one just out. It's called The Art of darts.

    Synopsis

    Can't hit the doubles? Got a bad case of dartitis? Want to stick it in the bull every time? You've come to the right place. THE ART OF DARTS is three-time World Champion John Lowe's darts master class that caters for every level of player, from the obsessed amateur to the fledgling professional, and reveals the secrets of his three decades experience at the pinnacle of the sport. Every conceivable aspect of the game is covered, from choosing the right grip, darts and practice routines to suit you, constructing out shots, perfecting your stance at the oche to tips on how to cope with the pressure of a sold out, noisy arena in your first professional match. Whether you want to improve your game wholesale or simply fine tune some misbehaving aspects, THE ART OF DARTS is essential for every darts player, fan or enthusiast and is well set to becoming the classic darts text.

    Looks good reading!

    Is there any other Darts book out there that's a good read?

    Might be an interesting read but I doubt it will help you improve your game, the only way you will do that is by throwing darts!

    I have been meaning to read Sid Waddells book Bellies and Bullseyes for a while now, supposed to be very good.

    Thanks KingP!

    That looks like a great read.

    Synopsis

    Bellies and Bullseyes is simply the greatest account there will ever be about the sport of darts - as told by one of its most legendary characters - Sid Waddell. It mixes Sid’s own personal journey from the coalfields of the North East with the entire history of the sport. What is revealed is a hilarious yet epic Darts Babylon, covering every significant event and every character to walk the oche from Eric ‘The Crafty Cockney’ Bristow to Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor.

    In words as ripe as his commentaries, Sid brings an authentic whiff of fags, hard drink, hot tungsten and moist polyester to the whole cabaret. Sid has been friend and confidante to most of darts’ stars over the years as well as being instrumental in the game’s progress himself. Nobody is equipped to tell the story quite like he is.

    From the early days of hustling in bars and the 1960s money-race pub competitions that spawned the likes of John Lowe and Leighton Rees, to ITV’s brilliantly daft The Indoor League and the glory days of BBC’s coverage; from the bling of Bobby George and the belly of Jocky Wilson to the awesome professionalism of Phil Taylor; from smoky Northern working men’s clubs to the Houses of Parliament; this is the complete, incredible story of darts.

    €7 is good value even though it's used!

    But Taylors book is way too dear, look at this;
