Hi there, have managed to get myself another BMW 6 series(1989 Highline), it's a bit new but was too good to walk away from, Immaculate/FBMWSH & with the usual Highline extras. The other one is an '80 (almost there)
I have the '80 insured through O'Riardons, Cork(Hibernian) €135 p.a. but prior to declaring/mentioning the new one (doubt they will even consider it a classic, as of age) am curious as to how you guys go about multi car ins.
Individual policies? One policy with numerous cars?
Neither of the cars are daily drivers.

    Cheers

I'm with AXA, they'll take up to four cars on the same policy. AFAIK, their cutoff point is 20 years, so they'd probably take the new car too. That said, i'm about to change to Hibernian, as their quote is much lower than my AXA renewal.

Hi there, cant help with the insurance question but just wanted to say well done and I'm jealous. i love the big 6's and would love to get one as a classic restore project. My 7 is only 19 years old so still a lot of road tax to be paid! Any pics at all, would be great to see a diary of work in progress, even though it would be over a long time.

I have two cars on a policy with first ireland although both are over 30 years old. First ireland cover cars over 20 years old but you need to be a member of a car club (not that asked for proof of this?).
Also cover was much cheaper than my renewal quote from axa.

OK..response from Hib. was, €112.50 for the '89 so €247.50 p.a. for both under the one policy, seems OK to me
