Likely to sell without an NCT?

Not sure if this should go in the 'trouble selling' sticky or not but...I'm about to put my car up for sale privately (wish me luck, I'll need it). The car is an '03 and 55k miles on the clock, so it's not a rustbucket but not like new either.

The NCT is about to expire and the earliest I can get an appointment is July, long after I leave to go abroad. The car was serviced a couple of weeks ago and the front suspension bushings need to be replaced but other than that it got a clean bill of health.

Is it possible to sell without an NCT in the current market? I'd be upfront about the work that needs doing and take a hit on the price accordingly. I don't really have the time or money to get the work done and then wait two months for the NCT, but if it's likely to be a dealbreaker I'll have no choice I suppose.

There will be 10 cars for sale just the same , but with nct.

    Which would you buy ?

I always say to people here that they need their head examined if they buy without an NCT. Your best bet is a trade sale or else chase a cancellation with the NCT. I'd forget about selling it without an NCT, it just won't happen I think.

Its not likely to sell with an NCT unless you are practically giving it away.
