I'm taking part in the Dublin City Triathlon in August and planning to raise a bit of cash for charity while I'm at it. Just want to know if anybody knows of any worthwhile charities to donate to. Preferably one relating to kids and gets little or no government assistance and doesn't spend a lot on advertising.

if you want to I would strongly advise this one it is relatively new and really needs to get awareness out there about it. it is a charity which will support family and friends of those who are missing. They have just set up a helpline for people who have someone close to them missing and they need to get awareness of that helpline no out. Unfortunately they need to get a lot more funding to sustain but if they do it could help so many out through what is a very traumatic time.
