I've a detachable Blaupunkt radio in the car at the moment but I want to get one with bluetooth so I can connect my mp3 player to it. Is it just a case of me buying a new radio in Argos or wherever and slotting it in? Or do I need to get it professionally installed?

If its a standard size radio just take the old one out and pop the new one in, friend of mine got one a few months ago with Bluetooth and it was the same as any other radio, just the block and arial cable at the back as far as I remember

Blaupunkt have standard ISO connections. Like most radios do now.

If you don't have the removal tools cut a wire hanger at the 2 looped ends to give you 2 bi U shapes to fit in the holes.

Very easy. Probably something on youtube.
