    lads found these in the field when out walking thisevening. do any of ye kno what they are and if they look like they were hatched or raided.

    Mallard for the big one and a moorhen for the small one..or maybe some Finch.

    Just guessing really.

    If found together I'd have to guess it was some raiding.

    smaller ones a greenfinch I think and the bigger egg could belong to a dove or a woodpigeon..mallard eggs are grey/green coloured..thats my hunch:)

    I think FS243 has it.
    They are not Mallard eggs.
    Mallard eggs are a little bigger and heavier than a chicken egg and are blue-grey, pale olive or various shades of olive ...... a buff colour.

    Found one like the green one no too long ago! looks to me like the small one was raided in that pic? the other one looks hatched though!

    Yup I dont think they are Mallard eggs..they seem smaller and very white.

    my first thought on the smaller egg was blackbird john , i was trying to figure their size and was thinking the egg was too big, but in hindsight and looking at it again , id say you were right:)
