Seriously, how is everyone planning to dress for theirs?

I don't dare take advice from the girls in my school... I shudder at the thought.

I'm considering just slinging on a dress I grabbed off the Topshop sales rack at Christmas (too lazy to look for pictures but um... it was blue?) but how dressy exactly is this yoke??

It depends where you're going. Mine was a few years I think I wore a white and blue floral number that was quite ahead of it's time if I say :D

Maybe ask around in the leaving cert forum for what other girls your age are wearing or how you should be dressing for it? :)

In my school people just got dressed up as if we were going on a night out to a club or whatever, nice dresses, heals and handbags. I'm pretty sure it's still similar!

Everybody in my school is ordering stuff off the internet and making a big deal of it. I think a nice dress with a pattern of say... Parrots?, a pair of tights and heels will be fine

I wore a black skirt, pink top and black sandals. Was no big deal to me I didn't even want to go to mine.

No idea what to wear yet. I was thinking this dress: http://www.asos.com/Mischa-Barton/Peaches-Geldof/Asos/Asos-Lace-Dress/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=214449&cid=5186&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=200&sort=-1&clr=Black but my sister thinks its too short for the mass and doesn't really like it? I'm very pale with dyed black curly hair and was planning on wearing black stilettos and deep red lipstick with it. Opinions?

That is so gorgeous! the dress has a lovely balance, it's showing leg but no chest so I think it's entirely appropriate! It would look great with pale skin definitely

WOW our schools are sooo similar. Apparently there are ballgowns in the works.

PARROTS? What an incredible idea. You're an inspiration, phasers.

cocktail dress should do the trick. some people came to mine in penny's best tshirts... they didn't get into the club after. most went to mine in cocktail dresses, other than the people dressed up as vampires

ours is at night and we get to wear our own clothes. I'm finding it hard to find a dress though it has to be suitable for the mass and then for going out after!! Anyone any ideas?

I was round in a friend's house today and saw her dress. Very, very fancy D: Somethin she'd worn to a wedding...

Screw it, I have stopped caring. Parrots it is phasers.

We wear our uniform to the mass & change after to go out. Planning skinny jeans & heels.. ours is quite laidback I think. But going to a friend's graduation and have no idea what to wear! Need a dress!

I know the kind, and everyone is doing similar. It's crazy, you only have to dress nice enough to get into the club after!
