Have no connection to this store, am just a satisfied customer

Picked up two pairs of Brooks Adrenaline (GTS8) for €110 including postage from this store based in Newry. Quick enough delivery, and effectively two for the price of one (based on prices in this part of the country).

I know they're popular shoes for many here, so thought others would be interested.

Good find Peckham. I've gone through 3 pairs of GTS8's, and currently on my first pair of GTS9. For my mind, the (minimal) changes they've made to the 9 aren't worth the extra money: in fact my preference is for the 8's, so I might stock up a bit here. Great shoe.

Yep I hate the 9s, its like lacing up astro runners, much prefer the 8s, I now alternate the 9s with my pearl izumis

    It's a great shoe alright.

As far as I can work out, the only change they've made in creating the GTS9 is to make the sole biodegradable. As much as I try to be green, it's not worth the extra money.

The only thing to note with ordering from here is that the shoe width I received is 2E, rather than D which I'm used to. Ran in them this evening though and can't feel any difference.

EDIT: And another thing is they despatch the shoes with no box, so you just get the shoes in a plastic envelope. Thought it was a bit odd, but probably sturdy enough

Mine are yellow. I've only ever had the blue ones before, so makes a change! I don't really mind, so long as they're not the black ones - don't like them at all! :D

Never used Brooks - what type of a fit is it - snug or loose - for example I find the Adidas a snug fit, while NB and Asics are slightly bigger - just wonder if I jump on the 10's or 9.5's?

(I usually buy a size 9 shoe.) My first pair of these were size 9 and were fine but I went up to 9.5 (UK) since then as I found my foot swells a bit when I run longer distances.

Be aware that these are probably a wide 2E width size, instead of the more average D; at least the 2 pairs I ordered a while back were. Haven't run in them yet, but they seem fine when walking, just pull the laces a bit tighter. Great shoe though, especially for pronators!

Oh well, they've shipped already - no mention of width fitting on the order - I'll let you know how I get on!

Same here, bought 2 pairs 2e couple of months back, fairly comfortable to run in though, I think they have the regular d size in stock now though

    Based in Newry?

From their website layout I would guess that they are part of the chain reaction cycles group - not a bad thing.

Still, their NB 1063's are €88. I got a pair in the UK last week for €77 (www.pro4sport.co.uk) but I'm not over there every week. I think postage to here is €12.

Possibly connected but not necessarily. Both are using the same website software from Northern Irish company http://www.exporttechnologies.com but so do several other less well known retailers (mostly NI based).

My T5's arrived this morning less than 3 days after I ordered them, plus about 20 business cards :). Everything is perfect right size, normal width fitting - I'm a happy camper :D.
Only dilemma is race tonight - should I wear them  - I'm wearing them around the house at the mo and will decide in a few hours.

Thread from the dead... seem to be back in stock.

Brooks Adrenaline 8 circa €56, limited sizes. I got 2 pairs (D width this time) and socks to take me over the €120 needed for free delivery.

Anyone ever run in the cascadia from Brooks. Looking for a trail shoe that runs well on the road as well.
