    alright guys.. anyone ever done any of waltons night courses.. was wonderin about the software studio basics course.. only 220quid for 9 weeks.. not bad value if its any use.. not expectin something amazing but to get u out of d house and maybe learn a few handy hints u cant go wrong... or can u..

    I did this course, but its a good few years ago now. If I recall, it was largely based around Propellerhead Reason (Version 2 at the time....I think) and Logic (pre-Apple, while it was still Emagic and on PC).

    As you'd imagine, it's very midi-centric, so if that's where you're at, it could be worth doing. I certainly took a lot from it at the time, just in terms of learning about the different sequencers, plugins etc...as well as interfaces, controllers, use of samples, general midi and, of course Reason. There was only 7 or 8 in the class and everyone had a workstation, so it was very one-to-one on that level.

    That said, the course could have been completely overhauled since then, so take the above with a pinch of salt.

    thats no problem.. cheers 4 ur reply..will prob do it later on in d summer myself... wud spend d same on a few nights on d beer and this way might pick up some handy shortcuts.. cheers 4 that..
