Just my tuppence worth from comps I have played in. A 30 quid buy in for a thousand prize fund is (way) too steep. You will not attract the more leisurley/average league player at that sort of cost.

A normal midweek comp (especially if you are thinking of 2 a week) should be no more than a tenner. Even the big opens are 20, sometimes 25 notes to get in.

30 euro is too much for that, u wont get people to pay and travel for that unless they thaught they would get something back.

I'd be very involved in the Laois set-up, close by to your tournament, and I know absolutely none of them would travel for a €30 quid in tournament

At €10 a man in each you would want at least 80 players to make a decent prize pot,Im not worried about the guys that dont want to play as i already have over 40 players lined up, This will be a huge return potential Considering The total prize pot and there will also be a weekly leauge set up with added prizes to play for on top of the prize money.

This event will be flying by this time next month mark my words

if this is in the same building as your skyline casino jamie you should mention the free beer you give out. that will get loads of darts players lining up outside the door

I will be very very surprised if you get 40 people to fork out 30 bills on a weekly basis for a game. Very surprised!
