Had a problem with my computer. At start up a message appeared: System disk failure…press CTRL+ALT+DEL to start your computer. After doing this several times with no luck, booted from the xp disk to re-install. Had to format the hard drive (luckily backed-up my data recently) and restart. After restarting the message below appeared:

Secondary IDE channel no 80 conductor cable installed
Primary Hard Disk S.MA.R.T. Status Bad
Warning: Immediate back-up your data and replace your hard disk drive. A failure may be imminent.

Anyway, tried to continue with the installation. After doing a quick format again and started to re-install xp, the message below appeared:

Set-up cannot create the folder: \WINDOWS\System32\mui\0426

I have a feeling the hard drive is gone. Can someone help here, please. Is it the hard drive? Or is there something else that I can do? If it’s the hard drive, where can I get one at a reasonable price A.S.A.P? Thanks for all your help.
