Why do you log in to boards.ie?

I've been logging into boards.ie for a few years now and I go months without a post on the site until I find something good enough to reply to when I say something good enough to reply to I'm not knocking what I read I just don't have an opinion in the subject.

I'd just like to see why people log on, is it because you want to know what's going on in you're area, what's happening in the arts world, what's happening in the business world, what's happening in the on-line gaming world or whatever else?

The main reason I'm asking this is because when I first started taking part in on-line communities there were very little Irish if any in anything I took part in and this site is thriving being Ireland orientated(which I'm very proud of).

Look, this isn't a serious thread so don't attack me for what I said(that rhymes  )

The primary objective in a forum is discussion IMHO, what have you done?

What I think you have done is totally discredited the question I have asked.

    Oh FFS.
This is AH. Don't moan about something so trivial.

It wasn't so much the rhyme, nor was it really the fact that you told us, it wasn't even the sunglasses, it was just the whole lot.

Seriously though, I'm new to this boards.ie game, but I really, really, REALLY don't take it very seriously at all. If you take offence to anything i write, anything at all, feel free to ignore it. In fact, I WANT you to.

edit: And what he said ^^^^^

I post to get thanks. I base my worth as a human being based on the amount of thanks I get.

Well Pete I admire you for that and all the replies I've read from you in other threads which are witty indeed, I perhaps jumped to conclusions. So pete, why do you come on boards.ie?

You definitely add some spice to the threads and I admire that, well done.

The dearth of a life, bobbly, the dearth of a life. Just like, I'm willing to assume, most AH dwellers.

For teh lulz and the aforementioned dearth of a life.

    Oh, and cooking tips. :pac:

I've always preferred forums to chat rooms and social networks.
