    Hi all,

I bought a new house 4 years ago and are living in it 3 years. The problem is some of the PVCu windows have huge gaps because they wont close properly (you can stick your fingers in some gaps. This is leading to drafts and noise problems. I think some of the hinges are knackered. A window in the living room now has moisture between the two panes and seeing through it is difficult.

Does anybody know if i have any leg to stand on when i contact the builder and/or window installer to get them to fix it F.O.C?

    cheers
    L

Who supplied the windows? Some companies provide a 5-10yr warranty, but not all. Definitely worth checking with the builder. But also if you have several problems chances are your neighbours will too, ask around
