    Hi again!

I am trying to source second hand catering equipment and I keep hearing about liquidated stock etc. but cant find any details of where this is available. Does anyone know where exactly this stock is available from?

    Thanks for any help...

Get in touch with a couple of liquidators. If they aren't liquidating a business that has that type of equipment, they'll be happy to put you in touch with who is.

What are you looking for exactly?

You can pick up stuff at liquidation auctions:

    www.hermanwilkinson.ie

    www.wilsonsauctions.com

Then, of course, there is Buy and Sell magazine, which usually has plenty.

You could also go to NI for new stuff- you may be surprised at how cheap it is in comparison to down here, and you also have the benefit of manufacturers guarantee.

There is a company called Equip in Carlow that I bought from a few years back - found them excellent. They may not be quite as cheap as liquidators (I am not certain though) but they have a massive selection (warehouses and a large yard) so you should be able to find exactly what you need in sizes etc.

I was looking for second hand catering equipment a few months ago but after looking around and getting several prices I ended up buying new from a place in Dunshaughlin. The difference in price was mimimal and with the added benefit of the supplier warantee, I felt it would have been mad to opt for second hand. Its just a small place and they make a lot of the stuff themselves so I suppose it helps to keep the costs down. The guy couldnt have been more helpful, I am very happy with how it all looks and Ive had no problems with the equipment. If you want to get a quote his name is George and his phone no. is (mod edit no numbers please)

    Good luck with the business!
