Salad leaves wrapping-alternative to plastic

A friend has recently started selling organic produce at a newly formed famer's market and would prefer not to package the salad leaves in plastic but can't find an alternative. Apparently the biodegradable packaging does exactly that - before it's been used(!) - as it doesn't keep. Can anyone suggest an alternative…

A friend has recently started selling organic produce at a newly formed famer's market and would prefer not to package the salad leaves in plastic but can't find an alternative.

Apparently the biodegradable packaging does exactly that - before it's been used(!) - as it doesn't keep.

Can anyone suggest an alternative packaging which would be acceptable to the customer?
