What areas in Dublin are convenient to both Beaumont and the Mater??

    Hi,
    Starting work in Dub very soon and househunting. Just wondering which areas are convenient to both Beaumont and the Mater as have to do a year in each! Any info much appreciated!:)

    drumcondra and santry would be handy. the 16/A bus stops very near both hospitals and runs through both areas

    Well Beaumont and the Mater are both on the Northside, with the Mater being walking distance from town, and Beaumont a good bit further out in the suburbs.

    I'd say the most convenient places would be either in town, or further north, around Drumcondra, Marino, and Beaumont itself, and maybe Santry or Whitehall either. If you're getting the bus to the 16 goes up the swords road passes close to both hospitals, and continues through down, right to the other end of the southside. The 42A and 27B also serve Beaumont via the Malahide road, though they both start a decent walk away from the Mater.
