Most Ridiculous Movie Premise Ever

I've just had the pleasure of re-watching the movie with the most ridiculous
premise ever - Weekend at Bernies.

Whoever dreamt up the idea for it must have had some serious drug problem.
It's brutally bad but in a brilliant way, I loved it.

My laughter throughout the film was only punctuated be my shouts at the TV, "Bernie's dead you idiots".

In an exercise in subterfuge that puts Clark Kent to shame,
these guys party around town in the company of a corpse wearing a pair of sunglasses and a walkman.

They make him dance, play monopoly, Bernie even gets in a fight FFS.

Actually, in hindsight it's not the most ridiculous movie premise ever.
That title must truly belong to the sequel, 'Weekend at Bernies 2'.
Or if it's true, the yet to be released 'Weekend at Bernies 3'.

Terrible title as well. How the hell did they fit that on Cinema billboards?

The Losers - '70s movie where Hells Angels bikers go to Cambodia to rescue American POWs.
So ridiculous it's yet to get a DVD release.

It's been on DVD for years. I got the R1 release ages ago. Really is a quality trashy flick from the man who later gave us Cleopatra Jones.

It's actually not a bad film. One of the most enteraining old school kung fu films around.

Man, The Dragon Lives Again is one of the most awesomely stupid movies ever made. From the really poorly-scripted/translated opening scene revolving around a feeble
cock joke revolving around his nunchuks
through the various filmed-on-a-budget-of-a-fiver fight scenes featuring things like The Amazing Third Leg Of Bruce Lee (!) and Dracula having no problem fighting in broad daylight to the range of ridiculous adversaries that are allied against Bruce (including Fr. Merrick from The Exorcist, referred to as "Exorcist" for added hilarity), it's just ridiculous.

To quote one of the comments about it on IMDB, "This is not just another attempt to cash in on the name of Bruce Lee, this is THE attempt to cash in on the name of Bruce Lee".

Actually meant to be a good film and certainly not the most ridiculous premise ever.

Snakes on a plane was awesome!

The most ridiculous premise I've ever come across was Baby Geniuses 2, not content with making one of the worst films ever to grace our naive planet they then go on to make a second one which is even worse and yet still manages to star John Voight and Vanessa Angel...
A group of smart-talking toddlers find themselves at the center of a media mogul's experiment to crack the code to baby talk. The toddlers must race against time for the sake of babies everywhere.

Gives me chills just thinking about it :|

God yeah, I don't know what the circumstances were, but yes, I've seen a good bit of baby geniuses. What was Jon Voight thinking?

    Killer trees you say.

I've been looking to get Trees and it's even better looking and superbly titled sequel Trees 2: Root of All Evil.

Cloverfield. Because you too can own a video camera that never runs out of space, never runs out of battery and never breaks when it's dropped, or even explosionified

    It is what it's.

A robust video camera with a battery life and capacity of around 90 minutes is hardly the most outlandish idea ever.

I would've thought the 200 foot creature attacking New York city would've been slightly less believable?

Uh, were you for some strange reason expecting something else besides a plane with snakes on it? I wasn't, and I thought it was great.

even though the film itself is top class i can't believe ong bak hasn't been mentioned yet.

Kung fu monk travels thailand to kick all sorts of as for......? The head of a statue a very close scecond would be the equally great warrior king. kung fu monk travels to oz to kick ass and find his beloved elephant.

Still both top top films though

    Bill and Ted's Excellent adventure.

A time traveller comes back to help two wasters in a band that can't play anything to help them pass their history project as it is the turning point of society. Together, Bill and Ted go back in time and kidnap figures such as Socrates, Genghis Khan, Napoleon and Abraham Lincoln for a show and tell project and pass after taking these figures to the mall. Awesome film, Excellent some might say

If you've seen any of the "Leprechaun" movies, then you have probably witnessed the worst possible.

EDIT: I'll throw Jack Frost into the ring as well, if only for it being about a killer snowman who also manages to rape someone in a bath :D

    Zombie Strippers
In the not too distant future a secret government re-animation chemo-virus gets released into conservative Sartre, Nebraska and lands in an underground strip club. As the virus begins to spread, turning the strippers into "Super Zombie Strippers" the girls struggle with whether or not to conform to the new "fad" even if it means there's no turning back.

    Eye of the Tiger

"Gary Busey plays Buck, a former Vietnam veteran/ex-con recently released from the state prison. He returns to the small Midwest town where he grew up only to discover the place overrun by a large motorcycle gang bent on causing trouble. When the bikers murder his wife and traumatize his young daughter, Busey, with the help from a fellow Vietnam vet, as well as his former cell-mate, a drug kingpin living in Miami, Buck arms himself to the teeth and wages a war against the motorcyclists to destroy them once and for all."

    The acting is...mind-blowing.
