Good Morning........my first post and haven't a clue if i'm doing it right.

Anyway, going to look at a car next week 04 Puegeot 307, all I know is it's metallic red. What are peoples opinions on the colour?

I would rather black or dark blue, silver even, but it's a good price. A lot of people are telling me the colour doesn't matter......but it does to me. I haven't seen the car yet does anyone know the colour i'm talking about and is it a nice red?

    Super

I know the colour and like it. I would never advise black or dark blue for a car that's actually going to be used, as dents, scratches and dirt will be much more obvious than they would on lighter colours. The red will be fine for resale, see what you think when you see it.

There's 3 different reds available in the 307.

    1. Is a non metallic flat red( think its called Lava red or something.) Looks well

    2. is a metallic dark red, called ruby red

    3. is slighty darker than above

    nice car, well wear

I would sooner metallic red to a fire engine red anyday, but it depends on the car. Diablo red (red/wine/burgundy mix) always looked very well on the 306.

If it is something like this it will look good when polished up, especially when (if) the sun comes out.

I'm hoping it's the second colour, i'd definitely rather that than number 1.

I just had my heart set on black I don't know why. But i'm coming around to the thought of red. Don't even know the mileage on it yet, obviously that'll be the main thing.

Buy on the cars condition and history first and foremost, then mileage and finally colour. Factoring in price as appropriate.

I will be actively avoiding getting a black car ever again for the reasons Anan1 mentions. You virtually cannot drive anywhere without it looking dull and crappy.
