Would love to join in but I am still limping. :(

I think I will come down and get involved anyway to keep the motivation going.

Had my heart set on running this until I realised the amount of work I have to do next week:eek:

Still have not given the idea up completely...we'll see how things go;)

I'd consider doing the 800, though my training schedule has been thrown out a bit by races already this week so I'm not sure

may drop by to support anyhow, it seems like a great event

I'm not sure if its the same as last year, but on the day it was something like €10 to do all 3 races , and a lot of people did. i was very suprised with this. Just did the 800m myself there last year.
Will be there this year, but not sure if i'm racing , I might join the students watching with a few beers ;) .

I was all on for this when I originally saw the calendar but I'm not sure now whether I'll make my track debut, do the IMRA race the previous night or just rest up before Valentia.

If the weather's nice, I think I might go along for the fun anyway to set an initial PB (at whichever distance(s)). I don't have spikes so I just need someone to tell me I'll be fine (even if uncompetitive) in normal runners if I'm careful on the bends. I think I might have been bumped up to grade C (standard 11-13) since the winter for the BHAA league but the recent results sheets still have my standard as 15 so I'm not sure.

actually I won't race - saving myself for the graded mile the following week - but would definitely be up for a beer or two.

jlang, you'll be fine in normal runners :)

i did the 800 2 years ago. My only win!!
I pulled a stomach muscle so I got a few cans and a packet of tayto in the bar. watched the rest with a beer in my hand taking Photo's for the site. Great nite.

Sorry - think I'm out of this one!
Long story - short version: I'm on business travel from tomorrow AM flying back in Thurs PM - when I told the OH I was stopping off on the way home for a track race - there was pictures and no sound - so I think I better do the honorable thing and head home.
    Next time!

I thought I was at 13 for the last race, but just found this list which now seems to have me at 11:

Think I'll be struggling to place against the rest in the 9-12 grade races tonight, I did fancy my chances in the 13-16 ones though. :(

Maybe I should put the longer XC spikes in from looking at the weather today. :(
