I am a student (22) and would like to know if there are classic car rental companies (preferably Irish) who would actually rent a classic to me. Failing that has anybody heard of dealers who specify in older cars who would do this or am I asking stupid questions here.

There's a firm in Adare who rent classic cars out.

They have a web site so a search should pull it up.

    EDIT. WEb site here.

Cool will do. though I reckon they will hike up the premium for rental because of it. Maybe if i say I own an Alfa (which I do) maybe that'll ease the pressure ha ha

That web link would seem to indicate that they'll only hire out the Riley to anyone under 25.

Well I've emailed them and explained which i would like to hire for a weekend etc. The Riley is chauffeur driven I think thats the only thing. Not my cup of tea!

Any ideas on dealers doing anything like this e.g. an extended test drive or something? or would there be a legal constraint on the dealer and me wanting to purchase the vehicle?

There are icons under each car to indicate what is available e.g air con stereo etc. they have an icon of a chauffeur's hat for the Riley instead of a +25 icon which i would guess means its chauffeur driven
