You do realise there is a facelift Octavia out? I remember talking to a fella in Skoda before Christmas, and they were giving substantial discounts on the old shape Octavia's. You might want to factor that in when purchasing.

I import one from the uk just before christmas for the furture dad in-law.
IT had 6000miles on the clock, 13500 euro cleared. It was the trim level below elegance.
the old boy loves me now:D

Prices in the UK have gone up a lot since December ... check it out but I doubt you would bring one in now for that price. I'd expect asking price in UK to be up 1000-1500.

Are you importing or buying here?

Carzone.ie is one of the main means of advertising for dealers. Go on there, find a model that suits you and throw the link up here, We can tell you then what discount to expect.

Mmmmm..... price's seem to have firmed up a bit in the UK.

I'd say your looking at between 15-16000e for that spec with 8000miles on the clock.

Brand new in the UK for £12,500 stg

Approx €14,659 Euro, with Irish VAT paid + whatever the VRT is.

    It is band B C02 of 130g.

Go to a Skoda dealer and ask what's his best price for a brand new Octavia. If Skoda is like some other manufacturers you should get a big discount off list price in the current climate.

Once you get a feel for what a brand new Octavia costs, you can then try to work out the value for an 08 pre facelift one.
