Remember, once you hit the 41% tax rate there will come a time when you may feel it's pointless working overtime.

35k plus 33% premium is a very decent salary. But it isn't as far ahead of 30k as you may think it is

IMO stay where you are, unless you just need of secerny.

As poster #2 said higher tax rate will see little increase in salary - and expenses are also higher in Dublin ie. rent etc.

Indeed, while rent is falling it's still shocking expensive in Dublin.
It's an entirely different market then most of Ireland.

With higher rent, higher food/drink, etc prices and your 41% rate to the Minister of Finance, you won't be making much more then your 30k.

With the new income levy I come out with 1850 into the hand every month how much would I come out with into the hand with the job in dublin?Rent is much higher in dublin alright but I just find waterford a bit boring but leaving a fulltime job for a contarct position may be a bit dodgy

If you are permanent, then don't leave your job for a temporary contract unless you are very unhappy in your job and need a change.
