Was thinking of joining a club for swimming.
Im 23 and was a good swimmer when i was younger but never kept it on really after primary school.
Would like to do it for fitness but wouldnt mind the competitive aspect if the oppurtunity of a few competitions arose. Im not saying i want to enter the olympics or anything but amateur style competition would be good to get back into.

Would a club be good to get back into?Im not a perfect swimmer so was wondering is there like coaches to help and being 23 would i be too old?
Can anyone recommend any clubs in Cork??

    Thanks in advance

    BF

You're probably too old for an amateur competitive club as most of the other people your age will be near the top of their fitness.

Your ideal candidate for a masters club though. You'll have the regular training, the social side and the option of competition if you want. I'm not too familiar with the clubs in cork but they're def there. [Dolphin SC??] Most clubs would have a coach at some of the sessions to help you out with your stroke.

You could join a masters club. Most competitive clubs train at hours pretty unsuited to working full time as the schedule is made to accommodate schoolkids. That's not to say you wouldn't be welcome if you wanted to join though.

23's too young for masters though, 25 is the min age for competition. They might let you train with them though.
