Found this and similar grenades at ehobby asia and does anyone know if they are any good? Obviously not the tornado nade quality. Is it? Any experience with them or other good nades?

You can get them cheaper on ebaybanned.
I just bought one at the start of the week. So I hope its decent ;). I'll let you know what its like when it gets in.
People were talking about this in the news section. And someone said if you keep up maintenance its fairly decent.

Is it actually 360 degreese cover or is it just random?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,893 ✭✭✭Dread-Lock

Well it has holes pointing 360 degrees, so I would assume it has 360 degree coverage.

It's easy to use. I use mine as booby traps. Blast radius is 10 metres. Doddle to use & no parts to lose. :)

i'm on my 4th rifle this year only and there's two more to go... plus trips to sites and red-hammer on my sight...

... i think a rock&roll on a open chest hurts less than the pain in my hearth everytime i pay for the next rifle.. i think i know your pain...

I bought 2 of these grenades and so far have been a dissapointment,

The first one fires off but not all the BB's come out and the ones that did, dont fly very far. I'm lucky if the second one goes off at all but that might just need a lil silicon loving and timer tweeking.
Although I've only tested it with 1 type of green gas, I'll be trying red & propane next to see if that makes a differance

But that said I'm not the type of person to let a grenade get the better of me. I'll be doing some after market modding on them myself to see if I can make them work, better.:)

A drop of silicone oil makes the world of difference & lasts for ages.
I used ultra air gas it works grand. 2 secs of gas is all it needs, put more than that in & the arming lever is put under too much pressure.
134a gas is not compatible dispite the claims of the manufacturer. :(

    you try using .12g's??

maybe .12s have a purpose in airsoft! Or will this damage the internals of the nade? even though theyre idestructable. I can imagine .12s destroying the indestructable

No they won't, the bb's, 1 per hole are only lodged in the outer rubber casing. I've been using 0.25 Bio's without a hitch. :)

hey just orderd 1 off rsov havnt got a change to test it out yet cause i dnt have any gas whats the best gas to use

I tried mine with 134a and it blew only the BBs in the bottom row and barely even made a sound (so much so the guy I'd naded didn't realise it went off at all). I switched to Predator Ultra which worked well once or twice and then blew the internals so it's now essentially a paperweight.

    Final verdict: Waste of money

Sounds like you over gassed it. 2 seconds is more than enough for the job.
I've found that Begadi green gas & 134a gas don't have the power, Ultra-air & Cybergun green gas are fine & a 1 second jab of Taiwan green gas is fine, too much & she blows open. You might of course got a lemon.

So anybody got any views as to what would be the best grenade on the market. I've got maple leaf james boom grenade, great grenade when workin properly but tryin to set timer is pain in the ass and if you set timer to go off to quick you risk the timer valve blown straight off, then ye gotta find another one. At nearly €80 quid you ain't gonna buy to many either

got 2 of these today i think the bit that should come out to release the gas is habing a hard time to pop out...

Use a cotton bud to barely dab some silicone oil to the brass valve and tube. That will lube it just enough to make it fire within a few seconds.
Don't use too much though, or it will fire immediately after you release it.

I've actually got far more people with this thing as a dud than I ever got with it working. It's amazing the stupid stuff people do when you throw a grenade in the room with them.
