Need mechanic for front wishbones

Hiya, I have a Rover 75 which failed NCT.

The lower balljoint has gone both sides, most garages want to replace the whole wishbone, anyone here know where I can get balljoint and just change the joint.

Also I need new (both) rear brake lines replaced.

I am a member of both Uk R75 forums before anyone suggests this.

    What's your location?
Do you know the part number of the parts you need?

You should PM LoveDucati2, he also had a Rover75 which was due for an NCT ... but he disappeared as soon as you signed up ... ;)

only suggestion I have is concrete blocks, haynes manual and DIY.
You must have big milage on the Rover as the suspension isn't a trouble area on them due to being softly sprung and most of them running on 15" wheels/higher profile tyres.

It's often easier to replace the entire wishbone, depending on the car. There may not be a replacement ball joint available.

Thanks guys, but I need someone who has changed just the balljoint, as they can be drilled out without removing the WB, the wishbones are expensive new and they will cost a lot to fit in Labour.

I can get 2 new genuine Rover WB in UK for £145 inc bushes and inc shipping, Advance tyre quoted €250 each (without fitting or bushes), the tie rods are only 12 quid each so I might as well do this too.

Any advice on the brake lines.

Who here can make rear brake lines?, the easiest way to attach new brake lines is to leave existing ones over the tank and rear sub and just fix new ones to it otherwise tank has to be lowered.

The Rover forums in the UK are brilliant and they provide in depth info.

Ned I will pm loveducati, any other rover 75 drivers here?
