I am hoping someone here might be able to advise on a course of action. I have a problem with an Easton road wheel which I bought from Chain reactino just over a year ago. I have been emailing them and they have asked me to return it to them.
What is the best way to send it to them, I would have thought that posting it is out of the question so do I contact a courier.
Any ideas on this would be appreciated.

I returned cranks to them before and posted them. I'd ask at the post office if a wheel is too big. I'm guessin it's not, but you'd have to find a box for it.

Ask a lbs for an old wheel box.

Easton wheels are giving serious problems and hence are on sale everywhere.

I posted a wheel back to Wiggle (Mavic R-SYS return.) There is no problem using the postal system. I used a box the right size I already had from buying wheels online but you should be able to get something similar from a bike shop or elsewhere. Cost (registered) was around €20-25 (which Wiggle refunded as it was a recall, I wouldn't expect it for a normal warranty return.) Note postage to Northern Ireland is _significantly_ cheaper, it is the same rate as the Republic. Maybe a tenner.

I've posted wheel rims back to CRC before with no problem - give them a ring and tell them that there's a problem so that it's on the record. They'll refund the postage cost to your CC

I just returned wheel rims, which I discovered were incorrect model after I discarded original packing. I used flat sheets of cardboard (opened out cartons of appropriate size) some bubble wrap all held together with packing tape. It cost 8 euro by post and arrived safely.

I bought a specifc sized tyre off CRC, they sent the wrong size, returned it and they still sent the wrong tyre plus refunded some of the postage cost.
I now have a different tyre than I originally ordered and not really willing to go through the hassle of returning it again

Have ordered stuff before with no hassle

Just to let ye know, posted back the wheel to CRC for a tenner, they examined it and said that they would have to return it to the manufacturer to either get it repaired/replaced and that I would have it back in about two weeks. I had it returned to me repaired in twelve days which was great, it was covered under the 2 year warranty it came with so all I was out was the 10 euro postage.
