wheels should be ok as long as tyres are ok and wheel nuts are visible.

Lexus lights may be a problem if the light output is the wrong colour, sometimes indicators are red, brake lights pink etc.

Girlfriends Puegeot 206 is due to be nct'd, does anyone know :

if the alloy wheels have to be taken off and origional wheels back on? only if they are a danger to the safety of the car, ie. sticking too far etc etc but as long as they are inflated properly with no tears in the tyres you should be ok

There only 17", Also lexus lights on the back would they have to come off? no, they can stay on aslong as the red lights work perfect, the brake lights work perfect and the indicators are orange and the reverse lights are white in colour

I know the standard plates have to go back on, anything else? It was bought with these bits on it i didnt tack it up :D:D

    Thanks

    hope this helps

alloys should be fine as long as they dont obstruct the tester in anyway and all the nuts are visible etc..

A lot of lexus lights dont meet the standards required for road use so i'd be fairly certain they will need to be replaced with the original lights.

    Thanks Colm,

Tyres are dead on, wheel nuts are under a little cover thing then they are visable, will check out the colour of the lights thanks

just make sure you take that little cover thing off them before it goes into the test.

you may not need them, my GF's car goes through the NCT no problems with her lexus lights (albeit they are not your average lexus lights as in they were standard on the car at the time), my old integra type r went through with lexus lights (before i realised they looked cack on it imo):D

it just all depends on the colour of the lights and weather they flash red or orange etc etc etc

As regards lexus lights, they are exeptable once the colours are correct for for side, brake and indicator. but the car also must have a rear red reflector, which most cars incorperate in rear lamp or bumper.

I had lexus lights on my old car and there was no problem with nct as others have said it's just a case of them having to be the right colours.
I was lucky enough my indicators were orange whereas in alot of cases the indicators on lexus lights are red.

No, just make sure the wheel nuts can be seen. Lexus lights are grand also.
