    PERFORMING ON THE NIGHT:

    MIDDLEMAN http://www.myspace.com/middlemanpop
Given a huge push by channel 4 music in 2007 the Middle 'men' have been going from strength to strength and with their debut album due out this summer after a couple of successful self published singles in the UK, these guys will surely be making waves in the coming months. Regulars on the uk festy circuit, you will be hard pushed to find a band with as much energy on stage as these guys.
Think bloc party meets the prodigy with an element of mike skinners poetic flow thrown into the mix and your not far off. Don't be surprised to see these guys popping up at every corner across Europe in the coming year as well as becoming fond radio faves, already being flagged by the likes BBC radio 1.

"Middleman make bouncy, vibrant, ridiculously catchy tunes that stand out a mile from everything else around at the moment." - Huw Stephens RADIO ONE
“Huge pop choruses, bouncy intros and hooks you will not be able to forget even after 15 pills and a weekend stuck in traffic on the M1.- NME
"Zane Lowe, Steve Lamacq and XFM are already onto this lot - hopefully the rest of the pack will catch up."- MUSIC WEEK
    SUPPORT FROM SKUZZIPORT http://www.myspace.com/skuzziportmusic

    12 DIRTY BULLETS: http://www.myspace.com/12dirtybullets
Formed Summer 2007 by brothers Jamie and Josh Jamieson, the 12 Dirty Bullets powered onto the scene as a refreshing alternative to the touchy-feely indie rock that was saturating the airwaves. Honest lyrics and commanding riffs mix with unique guitar sounds to make them one of West London's most exciting bands.
Having just returned from a headline slot at the ’12 Nights to Christmas’ festival in Dublin and with a range of high profile gigs under their belts in the UK, 12 Dirty Bullets “agile riffs and shouty polemics” (NME) are fast gaining them a loyal following as “a tight and already accomplished young band doing their rather incisive thing rather well” (Organ Magazine)
Their debut album, produced by Hugh Jones (Harrisons/Charlatans/Echo & the Bunnymen) at Chapel Studios, is coming later this year and in the words of the NME
“promises to be a true London milestone!”

Any chance of the Purty bringing back some of the brilliant gigs they used to have?
Bands that spring to mind include The joshua trio,The Cajun kings,The Pale,The Frames,Blink.
I would even suffer a Don Baker caberet show to see some of the great bands they used to have.
Can anyone else add to my list of great gigs in the purty.
The Sportsmans inn(not to many miles away)have brought back some of the old acts that used to play there including stepaside,The Bogey boys Full circle.
Would anyone go to these gigs if the venues brought the bands back?
