    I signed on about six or seven weeks ago,i have been told that i dont have enough credits,and that im not on their system for 2006 why do they go back that far... they told me to send my p60 in from that year but i cant find it, the employer i worked for back then is now out of business.social welfare in navan are not taking phone calls and i dont want to go begging to the community welfare clinic. i have been on to tax office, but nobody will help me where can i get information.....can i go down a legal road or am i f****d. i have worked all my life,maybe been on the dole for 6 months in 1994/1995.<snip>

    If you dont have credits, you go onto the Jobseekers Allowance scheme.

    I dont know why they want a P60. You can go to www.revenue.ie and apply for a P21 balancing statement there. Do you have any part of your P45? Your employers number is on that.

    I had a P45, but I used all of it up applying for tax back and applying for Jobseekers Benefit after my last job. They told me not to bother about it.

    They took the claim and said the Means Tester would be out in 4 weeks.

    You mention that you "signed on" 7 weeks ago. Can you tell me exactly what happened in the office? Have you received money? Can you describe the forms you filled in?

    Did you receive a visit from anyone at your home yet?
