DIY Pedal Board

As the title says...

Not in the humour of paying for a prefab pedal board so has anyone made a DIY one?

If so, any hints and tips?

yeah made one ages ago, but scraped it since there wasnt really a decent way to transport it so went back to my case, + my pedal setup changed etc...


get some MDF from B&Q or something, some nails, glue,velcro whatever use a jigsaw to cut it out and patch it together, get a nice power supply and some cables and ur good

If you have your dimensions right B&Q will even cut it for you, everything square nice straight edges & saves your fingers for better things

I reckon you should lay ou t your pedals and see what way you want them and then leave some extra room for expanding.

I made a little one a while ago, it only held about five or six pedals, I eventually got one of the cheap Warwick Rockcases.

I copied the Pedaltrain design and did it with two slats instead of just one piece of board, so I could hide all the cable mess underneath the board. I didn't put it on an angle (though that wouldn't be extremely difficult or anything).



(Without the RE-20, I got six on, but with some planning and some George Ls or similar cables, you could probably get a few more on)

here's the new better one..

much handier, the novelty and unconvience of it wears off, i recomend the cases more to be frank



you can see the wires, but its just better all round and stil rather neat

Might go for a pedaltrain pro - a buddy can ship one from the states for me at US prices.

D'oh, I thought it was the PS-3 shifter/delay, I'm a gob****e

Keyzer: Yeah, if you can get a case, you're better off. Squeeze a pillow in on top of your pedals, close the lid, and swing it around as much as you like :cool:
