3D Video editing

Can anyone recommend some software for editing 3D DVDs (.vob files)?

I don't know a lot about the area.
Currently, I'm using Stereoscopic player to display the 3D movies.
As this can display an interlaced version in left-right side by side format then I presume the full information for both left and right views is on the DVD and is necessary.

If I use something like MPEG Streamclip to edit out the 10 seconds that I want, will this simply do it on a superficial level so Stereoscopic player won't be able to display both left and right images?
i.e. how do I preserve the full 3D info?
    help would be much appreciated
